The Kern County Auditor-Controller-County Clerk
is an independent, elective office established to provide the County Board
of Supervisors with objective financial management and analysis; promote
integrity, accountability, compliance, and innovation; and protect the
interests of the citizens of Kern County.

The
Auditor-Controller is the chief fiscal officer of
the county and provides accounting, audit, and payroll services to county departments, as
well as providing property tax administration services to county government, cities, school
districts, and special districts.
The
County Clerk is responsible for issuing marriage licenses and
fictitious business name statements, registering notaries public, posting California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents, maintaining official appointments, and registering
certain specialized legal occupations.

Registrar of Voters is responsible for voter registration, the
administration of public elections within the county, and the maintenance of all related
official records.
